The forthcoming National Obesity Audit (NOA) aims to drive improvement in the care accessed by adults and children living with overweight and obesity.
The audit will collect and analyse robust comparative data from the different types of services which support people to manage their weight including General Practice and tier 2, 3 and 4 weight management services amongst others.
In so doing the NOA seeks to improve the equity of access to weight management services and the outcomes that such services support people to achieve whilst also improving understanding of the effectiveness of weight management services and informing local and national commissioning decisions and future developments in guidance.
Commissioned by NHS England and Improvement the audit is being delivered by NHS Digital and will launch in early 2022. For more information please visit the NHS Digital website.
